I do encourage mappers though to have a poster or title for their maps to be included with the submission, though the decision is entirely up to them. If they can't create it themselves, they know who to call!

Outerbeast and I decided to test if people liked posters on the maps' thumbnails, to make them more "clickeable", unique and more categorized by different designs of the posters so people could find them and recognize them more easily. Also since some of the latest maps also have them. So we made a few and wanted to check in what was the response of the community.

But in the end there are a few problems:
1- there's too many maps. Only a mad man would make posters for all of them. And making them just for a few select ones would defeat the purpose of them in the first place.
2- A good screenshot of the best part of the map could be more interesting than a bland poster, and communicate more of what the map looks like.
3- people didn't like them much

So all in all, the posters can be deleted safely. The title images on the other hand don't do any harm imho but the problem #1 stand for them as well, there's just too many maps.
