I wonder if there's an assaultmesa1 somewhere.
This is just a guess, but I think Penguin might have been poking fun at another map: Crisis2.
So far I haven't heard of any Assault Mesa 1.
There isn't…I think I just named it as such as a continuation of the Assault on Black Mesa (e.g. the Lambda Incident).
For anyone that has "error" for the gargantua inside the plane on assaultmesa2-2, I've created a fix that uses .gmr to replace the custom (missing) biggarg/biggargT model to the default Sven 5 gargantua.

I did find the original model files for it, but making a .res or anything to use the map's (Penguin's) garg model resulted in it having red texture on it.

Red model is error model which means the T model is missing so you did something wrong. Check console for Errors.
The model files I have are viewable through HLMV. I did exactly as what you recommended before resulting to the gmr replacement. I double checked everything, res file is verbatim and my server did download the models (that were "missing" through console messages) out to clients when testing. But still had the red textures. Even manually moving the two model files didn't help.
This was just a quick patch for players on my server could actually complete the map instead of shooting a static error.
I'll check again soon for a .res fix, as I hate seeing good maps broken to a degree. Thanks
