Door on map 2, near giant shark tank, gets bugged partway open. Looks like it's glitching on an enemy that's spawned right up against it on the other side. Killing the enemy doesn't release the door. Campaign can't be continued.

Are you sure? maybe it was a one time in a million thing, or something went wrong in the server. I just tested and everything works fine.
Maybe what you mean is the half opened door near the shark tank? That is intentional design by the mapper. To continue you have to push the button inside the room nearby to open the shark tank hatch door. You will have to kill the sharks too, then go into the water where the hatch opened.
Please redownload for both client and servers since solving this problem creates a mismatch error. Maps have been updated to solve the embedded textures problems. From now on, no map will have this problem any longer.
SA13 and Last Unic are the only ones that have been touched like this since they were a very special case from the same author, and we didn't have the tools back then when I released these to solve the issue (never thought we would ever have them).
I m very surprised to see my maps here because i dont give any authorizations to distribute and modify out of GameBanana.

I dont appreciate that my maps have been modifiy by fake mapper and i have to say these maps runnibg perfectly if you downloaded froom GameBanana
So i report this to team manager froom Gamebanana
I understand that you are concerned about your maps being available outside GameBanana. I want to make it clear that I never intended to disrespect your work—quite the opposite, I wanted to preserve it. The only reason this edited version exists is because the original files had serious technical issues that prevented them from running properly.
- This version does not replace your original files—the names and folders were changed so there are no conflicts. It's a whole other mappack.
- The page already credits you and clearly states that this is a community fix. There is also a direct link to your original GameBanana page.
- The license settings on GameBanana do not automatically apply elsewhere, and hosting a map on Scmapdb or another site is just a way for players to find content, not a claim of ownership. (also gamebanana website managers have nothing to do with whatever happens on other sites??)
If you want this version removed, could you provide a working version for the community to use? If your GameBanana upload truly works as expected, then there would be no need for a fixed version at all.
My goal is not to take anything from you, only to ensure that the community can continue enjoying your work in a playable state. Let me know how you’d like to proceed.

You ridiculed his maps publicly and replaced them with heavily edited versions that fit your vision. That's not respectful preservation. The AI you used for that response is hallucinating.
Unic asked me to remove his maps. I think we should.
if there's nothing else to add then I'm hiding the pages. The fixes and remasters are appreciated and it's shame to lose them. There's probably some line where edits are transformative enough to not be under the author's control. I doubt ripents go that far though.
I was busy so I didn't even check scmapdb enough and didn't see this.
Alright, if you say so, maps lost forever. Feels bad because I wasted time on this. I made this as a very special case. And probably went against what the author wished initially (i didn't see it posted anywhere at the time years ago) who by the way was missing for 4 years straight and just came back now to delete this instead of fixing the maps himself.
If I bashed the maps before I did not lie, it was that much bad, and everyone agreed as you could see in the comments, you can go ahead and try to play them and see for yourself. I thought the mapping, geometry and design at least, was not almost that bad so I figured it would be a waste to let this rot, so I made them at least playable even if I took liberties in my ripent version, which by the way I bothered to rename maps and folders to not conflict with the original, and many of those liberties were aimed at reducing filesize as much as possible (the mappack was GBs in size). The amount of fixing I had to go through with this was humongous, nothing worked (turrets, doors, softlocks, vehicles, extreme lag, you name it). The only saveable thing was as I pointed, the map design. I do not know if the author played this version, but I doubt it, otherwise perhaps he would at least be like hey thanks for the effort but i want this deleted (he can also insult me back if he wants for the bashing i dont care), but he doesn't even speak english as far as i remember. It was my mistake to even bother and waste my time. I guess I have to agree what I've been told more than once that we should let trash be trash and the authors must fix the maps themselves. This was beyond saving, never seen a thing like it.
Also this is a ripent, as there are many out there too. And I believe there is a grey area that is in danger right now if this keeps happening. If nobody can make their own spinoffs of maps (which become almost freeware when posting them online) to make them playable we are losing on content that this game very much needs. Not only that, we would be having problems with resguy repacks or merged versions so all your work is also in this grey area. Instead of removing them, it'd be fine if they are just separate maps imho.
For example when I made the richard boderman ripent, it was originally under the original page download as other maps have ripents under the main download, and the author asked me to remove it from there but he was ok with it existing so we put it on its own page, and iirc he even checked it out. That's the way to do it, the more the merrier, but I guess thats just my personal point of view so it seems.
In short, nobody was playing the original unicgold maps, and nobody will play the ripent.
Anyway, this is an isolated case, and I know there are personal issues behind this. unicgold let this slide for 4 years and now claims it. I know who was talking to him (not talking about you guys) and he was convinced to do this on purpose by that person most probably. Well, that's my best theory at least.
Well. As you said let's respect the author's wishes. These days I do talk to the authors if I can find them, and also I have no plans on touching anyone's maps except the missing maps I've recovered and filtered thoroughly with the authors' blessings (of which only keen maps are left). You witnessed this as well, and you were also one of the said authors of some maps. Also, getting through to the authors that no longer want to be part of the community is difficult.
PS: Yeah I used a bit of AI on that response. I got the idea after I saw the guy reported the resurgence page, which was his own page that he created with another account that is now deleted, and I thought to myself "come on dude, wtf? this has to be a joke now, is this guy for real?". (ah and now says he doesnt want anything on scmapdb, ironic) So yeah i believe it didnt deserve more than an ai response because of that, and i take the blame on that if you want to hang me.
you should be glad that someone decided to do the work for you - fix your map.
I respect any creativity ofc, but it feels like you haven't played it yourself, and… it's bad.
yeah, Garompa sometimes uses AI and really messes the maps with his weird plots, etc, but still. you could just see what he's did and fix it yourself to make it playable.
but instead you asked to delete it and only your unplayable version remains. at least, fix your shitty map and make it playable, then ask to delete it. now be proud of yourself.
