Description

This map is originally from the Heart of Evil Mod. (Original creator of Alamo: foolish_mortal).

Additional info

The source was released and so Trempler removed the complete entity work and redesigned the map to be a cool escape map.

Additional credits

• Community fix (Sparks, R4to0) - fixed dead monster bad pose game crashing bug.

Changelog

+ Fixed version 2 - (by Garompa)

• Based on Sparks fixed version that had the crash fix because of bad poses
• Rotated spawnpoints properly
• Added more spawnpoints
• Moved spawnpoints and npcs away from being so close to brush trees just in case
• Added displaynames for all custom monsters
• Re-added most of the missing custom models (if the NPCs existed in the map)
• Removed unused content (hungerzork.mdl, spx_mature.mdl, palmtree01.mdl, palmtree02.mdl, peasant.mdl, peasanthead.mdl)
• SOG.mdl and SOGT.mdl were the same, so all were replaced by SOG.mdl
• Added a silent soundlist for the custom medic.mdl (because its a female)
• Modified kophyaeger, kophadult and gorilla with HLAM, replacing some of the missing sounds as they are not found in any Sven file that ever existed.
• Changed name of the huey apache to MI-24 Hind ingame, because thats what it is. It's not a Huey.
• Used HLAM to merge all model external sequences and textures (xxT.mdl and xx01.mdl xx02.mdl etc…)
• Regenerated .res files with resguy
• Repacked with resguy
• Added unused files as archived download

• Fixed map crashing because of bad corpse poses

Fixed version working well !

Community fixed version working well !
When this map just released, map was seriously lag a lot (spwaned just at once or entity overflew)

after fix version, nothing lag spark or over ping something.
Problem is.. corpse just floating air (this must be goldsrc issue)

Fixed version available (currently SCMapDB only) to prevent the instant-crash caused by invalid pose value in some dead monsters. Nothing else changed though.

"SV_StudioSetupBones: sequence -1/8 out of range for model D:\MODELS\HOE\Mikeforce\namgrunt\deadGrunt.mdl" appears about every frame with developer 1 set. It can probably be fixed by converting the monster_dead_hgrunt entities that uses this model for item_generics. But I can't be bothered as the map has awful gameplay and other issues anyway.

FPS stutter constantly, but still playable. Maybe its because all the npcs spawn at once.

Another problem is I never found the end. I used noclip and saw a plane, probably where the players escape but I could never find a way to get there without going through walls and also that plane is beyond the physical map.

Seems like a good map, however there is no .res file so players will need to download this map manually to play on servers (Missing skins, and tree textures). Also this map does cause really high ping on my server.

Edit: I made a .res file for gfx, models, and sprites. (Link in downloads now. Thanks cold_blood3d)
