Description
Antares 2 Alien Invasion & Defense
Your marine squad has been sent to investigate the Antares Manufacturing Station and Colony. Communication failed some weeks ago.
Once landed, find a way to the base command center. We have no clue what you will find there.
Inside the base you have to re-establish the power generator and keep it running, until you have sent your broadcast.
Objectives :
- Move to the command center.
- Re-engage the power generator of the base.
- Keep power running to send the emergency broadcast.
- Keep the "Communications Hub" alive.

FAQ:
- This map is a walkthrough/defense map with random elements.
- There are random paths, random weapons, and random waves of enemies.
- Weapons can be upgraded by spending "PowerCrates" in the generator room.
- The Pipe Wrench weapon allows you to repair turrets, doors, and the "Communication Hub" (required to complete the map).
Map Trivia:
- 27 trigger_randoms (for paths, monsters, weapons)
- 106 enemy squadmakers
- highest r_speed: about 1650 wpoly in the worst place.
Development Trivia:
- This was originally intended to be released in 2012, but Larry disappeared.
- The map was subsequently re-worked by JPolito to have custom textures, a plot, voice acting, and an ending.
- It was released in January 2025, over 12 years since the last changes were made.

Level Design 5/5 : Nice sci-fi punk level!
Lighting 5/5 : Beautiful lights at night of the planet.
Sound and BGM : 3/5 : Good ambient sounds, But could add some background music to make it more exciting.
Story 3/5 : Most of the time, We just have to fix this and find that. Or protect the core like most of defense maps, However we know why we are here.
Gameplay 3/5 : Playing for the first time makes me confused about paths and objectives, The objective's instructions aren't clearly for a couple of play times.
By the way, Nice turrets.
Unique 4/5 : Many imported assets, Sci-fi theme
