Description

A giant killing arena, your mission is kill the new monsters.

Only played for a little while by myself (got a bit hectic after a while).
But it is a fun map if you want to kill some time/slaughter some monsters.
Very nice looking theme with minimal lag now and love the jumping platform as it reminds me of quake 3 arena.

My only suggestion is maybe include some sort of progress indicator as it was a little confusing at first.

change name globalmodellist nexus.gmr to arena_retrowave.gmr in file arena_retrowave.cfg

Missing file "maps/nexus.gmr" referenced in: arena_retrowave.cfg

change name "Arena%20Retrowave.7z" to "Arena_Retrowave_v2.2.7z"

Please avoid using space in filenames.

You nailed the style and the map is fun to move around in. I like the models in the screenshots, were they removed because they cause crashes?

A lot of lag is coming from the textures. The resolution is too high which results in 8000+ wpoly in many areas! ~2000 wpoly should be the absolute max, not the norm (debatable).

As you can see, the big offenders are the portals (2080 wpoly total) and purple buildings (~6000 wpoly total?). The green building on the right also has overlapping textures that could be merged into a single texture (there are no effects justifying the 2 separate textures).

The drawback to reducing texture size is that you will lose the sharp lines. Maybe for the portals use brushes for the lines - that way you keep the sharpness and still reduce wpoly.

I also noticed a few faces (arrow tunnels) are chopped at the edges, resulting in lots of extra wpoly for no good reason. Slightly increasing texture scale in hammer can fix that.
