Description

This takes place after Freeman rejects GMan proposition at the end of the vanilla game.
Somehow he was able to survive the battle with Alien Grunts and found a portal to our world.
After that two scientist revived him back to life.
The journey begins again.

AWAKEN

I have recovered my old PC hard disc and found this lost MOD, which now after much more than a decade I can share with you.
It was once uploaded into internet (via 56 Kb/s modem :) ), but I suppose that HL1 custom mods page doesn't exist any more.

The game takes place after Freeman rejects GMan proposition at the end of the vanilla game.
Somehow he was able to survive the battle with Alien Grunts and found a portal to our world.
After that two scientist revived him to life.
The journey begins again

To play AWAKEN you have to put the folder in main game folder and then activate it from game's "custom game" menu.
I have used many assets from the original game, HL demo and Opposing force.
This mod is made only for fun so please use it at your own risk.

The episode was made by me in 2004 when I was a 16 years old boy:)

Fixes to awaken 2.

• Changed elevator from func_door to func_plat;
• Doubled elevator speed (50->100). It appears that if func_door or func_plat isn't fast enough, it has messy collision which can result in players death;
• Elevator sound now loops.

Initial release

• awaken3: scientist doesn't needed to be at eye scanner anymore because he refuses to teleport in elevator alongside players. Instead, players need to pick up a keycard near him;
• awaken3: added HUD hint that one of door glasses is breakable.

It appears that when elevator isn't fast enough, it has messy collision and a result can kill players(if it's set to deal damage if it's blocked). Should be less likely to occur now, thanks for reporting.
