Description

The players slip into the roles of agent Declan Walker and his team, members of the Black Operations, a special-purpose force for covert operations, created by the government approximately around the events at Black Mesa. In the fictional metropolis “Metro City” you must hunt down the scientist Dr. Gallagher, who stole a mysterious briefcase, which the government wants to have back at any price. But the good doctor has relations and so it succeeds him to escape one more time…

General changes:

• Red night-vision has been added
• Survival and Classic modes have been introduced
• Custom hud sprites have been introduced
• Music from the soundtrack has been replaced with their high fidelity versions
• All custom decals have been remade as sprites
• .gmr and .res files have been updated, and a .gsr file has been added
• Boss fights are a reasonable difficulty now
• Movement speed has been lowered to be authentic with the original mod
• Weapon ammo carries over through map transitions
• Playermodels are now enforced

Map-specific changes:
- ops_intro:
Reduced game start time from 60 to 30 seconds;
Fixed grammatical/spelling errors in game_texts.
- ops_hq:
Reintroduced map start fade in;
Added custom entity game_hudsprite and its trigger;
Placed medkit with the gun and suit in firing range.
- ops_street:
Reintroduced map start fade in;
Added level change sprite.
- ops_subway:
Added Survival Mode checkpoint;
Added level change sprite.
- ops_club:
Reintroduced end cutscene.
- ops_ctown:
Reintroduced map start fade in;
Added Survival Mode checkpoint.
- ops_sewer:
Increased ladder break trigger at the start;
Fixed grammatical/spelling errors in game_texts;
Added invisible wall to valve section so players can't just boost each other and skip;
Added a trigger for ambient_generics that play the same sound so they can't overlap;
Added Survival Mode checkpoint;
Changed Tin How Temple door to only open once the apache is defeated;
Reintroduced end cutscene.
- ops_industry:
Reintroduced map start fade in;
Added level change sprite.
- ops_wareh:
Reintroduced captured event at map start;
Reintroduced map start fade in;
Added Survival Mode checkpoint;
Reintroduced end cutscene.
- ops_jail:
Fixed spawns so someone always spawns in the main cell;
Reintroduced map start fade in;
Added weapons and medkits to several spawn rooms so players don't run around without weapons;
Added a door at the start that only opens once all players have been freed;
Added Survival Mode checkpoints;
Added level change sprite.
- ops_escape:
Added func_monsterclip so the Big Momma can't camp right outside the tunnel;
Added trigger_hurt_remote so baby headcrabs die once the fight is done;
Reintroduced end cutscene.
- ops_ep:
Reintroduced map start fade in;
Added Survival Mode checkpoint;
Fixed grammatical/spelling errors in game_text;
Added weapon_strip once bomb is activated.
- ops_credits:
Reduced credits start time from 60 to 30 seconds.

ops_jail_4 has a broken event that sends you into a black box instead of turning on escape cutscene.
I had to add "ops_desrt" into mapvote list :<

For those seeing this comment later in time, I played the November 15, 2022 "poison tester" update yesterday (January 28, 2023) and suffered no such bugs throughout.

Well made and very long walk through conversion.
Has a very nice Max Payne vibe which I like.

Had cheat in a few place as the conversion seems to required more than 1 player.
Still very enjoyable to play and can be mostly be played solo with a little difficulty.
