Description

coop1:
Standard indoor walkthrough map with plenty of aliens, grunts, and crates.

coop2:
Walkthrough map with a huge room of enemies at the end.

coop3:
Clear all of the enemies.

Additional info

• You need to change the map manually upon reaching the end and killing all enemies.

No end

Fire door at the end doesn't open. May be because button was pushed before all enemies were destroyed. May be its just broken map.

Yes it does My mistake, you're correct, it doesn't - there are three buttons to be pressed, one by each of the two fire doors and the third which is hidden in the shadows on the wall behind the red crates in the "stupid quantity of Agrunts" spawning room, at the end of the map. Pressing all three gives the traditional "to be continued" message, but - more importantly - totally fails to end the map which then just sits there waiting for the server to cycle, or for someone to rtv. Schoolboy error, not having a game_end.

Emteg made some good maps over the years, Between is a lot of fun, so is Murks, this one however he made before considering the concept of "balance" and so it's just ridiculous horde-spawn-in-face of mostly Agrunts. Fine if you're on an all-cheats stupidity server, but not so much fun otherwise. The end room is just 30 or so Agrunts (and a few other monsters) hammering you constantly with hornets and snark nests. There is a portal based shortcut system, but that doesn't make up for the ridiculous monster spawns.

Good start…

A promising start, but sadly incomplete..
The key is getting into the sealed control room, which allows the nuclear gunk to be drained, and the gluon retrieved - which makes the horde battle significantly easier. However, I can't find a legitimate way to get into the control room. Seems as if a portal is missing maybe.

Clearing the horde just leaves an empty map, it seems.. Shame, as Emteg makes good maps - maybe this was a starter..

*UPDATE*
In the main corridor, shoot out the ceiling duct grille. Stand under it and jump - you will be 'sucked up' :O into the duct. Crawl the full length (do NOT shoot out the floor grilles yet) until your way is blocked by a vertical grille. Do not attempt to break, but USE it instead. Proceed to control room, and use console to drain green goo from the room below the duct. Return to duct, and NOW shoot out floor grilles to drop into the ex-goo room, and grab the gluon/egon. Proceed to main arena where mayhem and no ending awaits! Change map manually after last alien_controller is killed.
