Description

WARNING: THIS MOD CONTAINS MATERIAL THAT IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK.

Crack-Life is a retarded Half-Life mod that replaces models and sounds in the original Half-Life campaign with overused jokes and memes.

Additional info

This conversion features:

• Done from scratch, using original mod files.
• Using Sven Co-op HLSP campaign as a base for the conversion.
• Scripted weapons (not all) to mimic the original weapons behaviour, as well as a workaround for the irreplaceable client side sounds.
• Removed almost every duplicate sound file (my ears…).

+ Known bugs

• Some sound effects are predicted client side and cannot be replaced with global sound replacement file.
• A user reported to me that map scripts may fail to compile if server runs w00tguy's Classic Mode Deluxe due to ItemMapping usage. I don't know much about it as I haven't tried myself.

• Little less aggressive health math for bosses.
• Implemented health calculation for Gonarch in cracklife_c15.
• "sackmusic" is now looped.

• Moved some scripts from global include to its own trigger_script entity.

• Fixed survival mode checkpoints not spawning due to missing include file (Thanks Enrory).

+ v2 (r84) - Mar 17, 2019

• Revised weapon scripts, to ensure they match original game behavior.
• AR grenades is on its own scripted entity to mimic vanilla game, as well as giving 999 grenades instead of 200.
• Added item mapping to some ammo entites to deal with limited item drop selection from breakable boxes.
• Added brass eject to MP5 gun.
• "Pistol" gun now uses same ammunition entity as MP5, fixes issue with low ammo for it.
• Max player armor is now 300.
• Survival mode support (disabled by default, can be enabled with voting).
• Moved item mapping array and weapon register to its own file.
• Exposed weapon slot and position definitions to weapons/weapons.as script (for servers with buymenu weapon conflicts).
• Dynamically set nihilanth health based on connected players count. Calc: NewHealth = CurrentNPCHealth x ( Current player count x Server skill level )
• Moved monster_nihilanth to squadmaker, for support with setting custom health. Also fixed nihilanth sound replacement not working.

Logo files missing in repack

In the repack logo.as and logo.spr have been excluded (they are present in the regular download). utils/adjhealth.as is also missing from the repack, I'm not sure if this was intentional but I didn't see it anywhere in the changelogs

Yes, you can set mp_survival_supported to 1 in all map cfg files and it will work like the original HLSP campaign.

EDIT: Survival support now included in the main package.
