Description

You've been hired to investigate the Secret Corporation complex and discover it's true purpose. Massive amount of unknown energy has been detected and tracked by World Defending Institution.

If energy have anything common with Alien Collapse, the world is in true danger- corporation may attempt to open new portals to foreign worlds. The problem is those portals can be destroyed only from inside, and any life forms can successfully travel to our planet by creating micro-portals around the facility- this power cannot be controlled.

GENERIC FIXES

• Used the original maps as a base to ripent the .ent through import, bypassing the version mismatch errors in the maps ripented by newbspguy's current bug that the ripents of other people are having due to copy pasting brushes. Checked for errors and the maps work fine without version mismatch on servers.
• Changed some env_messages to game_text
• Changed env_model to item_generic
• Changed monstermakers into squadmakers, with proper translated spawnflags
• Fixed squadmakers without spawnflags or missing spawnflags, to have proper spawnflags
• Changed info_player_start to info_player_deathmatch
• Changed env_beam's negative StrikeTime value, to positive values (this could've caused crashes due to overflows)
• Changed env_xenmakers that were spawning monsters, into squadmakers with proper external xenmaker entity
• Replaced some of the Wayne's models that were identical to default (hwgrunt and hwgrunt_ld) with some other of the default custom hwgrunt models
• Removed Wayne's missing soundlist files references in maps, and .gmr and .gsr as well
• Gave many alien monsters spawned through squadmakers, a properly colored xenmaker effect
• Replaced item_security and brush based item collectibles, with item_inventory
• Used Wayne's ripents as a base. His guide arrows and wrong way signs have been replaced with more immersive things like lights, props, breakables with hud displaynames, enemies, etc… Except in maps that have a theme where it would be plausible to have direction signs.
• Enemies with humongous amounts of health have been toned down a lot
• Maps with low ammo at start have now extra weapons and ammo at spawn
• game_text messages have been tweaked to be less intrusive, away from the crosshair, indicating the character name that speaks if intended, and sometimes giving them proper color that indicates ally or enemy.
• Typos in game_texts and displaynames have been fixed. Usage of "\n" (new lines) in displaynames has been abolished
• Fixed typos on entities making them not recognizable by the game
• Fixed netnames when intended to be used as displaynames on old maps. Now you can see those npcs true names!
• Regenerated .res files
• Repacked with missing files into a .zip using resguy

sc_cyclone

• Used Wayne's ripent as a base with trigger fixes, and guide arrows
• Modified the guide arrows into more immersive props and effects to blend in with the environment
• Map version used to ripent is from 2021, the latest version (version full 1.0)
• Added default custom models to enemy grunts, they are not HECU
• Changed enemy opfor grunts classification to default, but gave them reversed ally state. This fixes them shouting "FRIENDLY FIRE!" when you shoot them and instead they treat you as an enemy.
• Fixed game texts not appearing to all players
• Fixed triggers once at the start. One of them was a func button and they both had inverted targets for some reason
• Fixed te truck func train set origin to actually work
• Added more damage to the func train truck
• Fixed all turrets flags
• Removed one turret after the snipers outside, and put them on the ceiling
• Toned down health of kingpin from 4000 to 2000
• Made kingpin death portal a bit smaller so it doesn't clip

So far so good! Looking smart, plays well enough so far..

The doors are a total pain, they are more dangerous than the monsters. In my opinion, replace the disastrous. terrible swinging doors with sliding ones (or with *anything* for that matter - it would be a vast improvement).

The patronizing female voice "mission announcer" is annoying, but maybe that's just me. Seems redundant..

Res file works, I had no missing-file errors.. :)

Good job, it will be interesting to see what's next!

I have the same feeling about doors, and I don't know why I kept them on my map. I'll replace them with something more practical in next release.

Maybe female voice should be replaced with some kind of simple sound (or completely removed), but I'll think about it.
