Description

Short cinematic maps. Explore a foggy forest, wake up, buy a shotgun from a resident evil merchant, shoot zombies and fall in a pit. The end.

damned_forest_demo:

• Fixed changelevel not working

start_damned:

• Sandtraps now have an extra trigger hurt at the bottom so you die faster and its less annoying than waiting to drown or using the suicide button
• Moved the changelevel trigger as it was clipping through the wall. You need to have someone boost you over the hedge

*Added hurt to sandtraps for the same reason as above, but also an extra hurt for NPCs in case the crocodile just wants to take a dive

• The sandtraps had a wrong placed texture face. Instead of doing a proper fix, resulting in version mismatch errors, I opted for making the sandtrap floor brush have a bit of transparency and wave height. If you pay attention you will see the area where it is

damned_map2

• Made the map wide looping specialhit sound into a radius based ambient generic instead. Phew, annoyance averted
• Added one more white zombie effect enemy. Lure him into the cubes of deth to kill it

All maps:

• Regenerated .res files (they were from 2009 originally ouch!)
• Repacked as .zip using 7zip

This map had LemonSoda as its author but that's wrong. I've just had a chat with her, she said this map is not her creation. (I've edited the page.)

tbh the sloppy grammar in the text message and wrong facing textual texture isn't her style. She did Psyko around this map's apparent time (around 2010), which won the mapping contest.

Well thanks, I assumed wrong. All clues pointed that way though. All assets and textures used and names. The merchant npc is called Royals friend so perhaps its somebody LemonSoda knows
