Description

English:
In this new update a more improved story is presented, we as Freeman will face unique and intense challenges.
A story where we mix Cry of Fear, Left4dead2 and Half Life in a single story.

En esta nueva actualización se presenta una historia más mejorada, nosotros como Freeman enfrentaremos desafíos únicos e intensos.

Maps completely corrected and survival was eliminated, this will be implemented in an upcoming update, much more improved with an automatic restart if all players die.

• Added a lot more spawnpoints
• Moved some spawnpoints that were outside so they are inside the triggers
• Made all cameras hide the hud and force the view on dead players
• Translated spanish voices and text to english using AI voice to voice cloner (except the black mesa transit system voice which is now the black mesa transit system voice)
• added global lists for models and sounds to include some extra QoL with a few custom weapon models and ambience sounds from Afraid of monsters and cry of fear
• Gave friendly npcs around the city some urban models instead of the stock generic black mesa models by default
• The osprey at the last map is now invisible and will become visible when triggered
• The G-Man sequence at the end now is 20 seconds long instead of 80 or more
• Translated textures in the .wad
• Fixed the spawnflags on trigger_changelevel entities to have USE ONLY when required, instead of the deprecated one
• Gave all squadmakers the Auto size bbox spawnflag, the gag keyvalue and the force rendermode keyvalue. All of them had these missing
• Changed deprecated entity monster_furniture into item_generic. The vehicles also were added movetype hover
• The vehiculos folder is now renamed to vehicles
• Lowercased all files
• Changed weird or dangerous characters in filenames, like dots or &, just in case the game gets an embolia because of it
• Organized the CFG files, and removed weapons that are present in that map already to pick up. Also added weapons that were present in the previous map in one instance (sniper rifle), and changed crowbar to pipewrench accordingly if you can find it in the map already, and viceversa
• In the cap1 map, at the start elevator, I added a few trigger_setorigin that will update the position of the spawnpoints to the elevator. Previously if players died there they would be stuck. Even if you get stuck, when the elevator reaches the bottom it will move the spawnpoints there as a failsafe on top of this.
• Fixed displaynames of all monsters so they have the correct names and caps
• Translated textures and put them in ultimatum_eng.wad
• One of the maps had hanger.mdl missing and displaced. The model was restored out of oblivion and moved so now there are hanged men properly over the fallen chairs.
• Modified some models that had missing sounds so they would point at the correct paths inside the desastre folders to use the sounds
• Some of the models had missing sounds so they were restored, but others was impossible, and since they were props and the sounds unused, they got their sound events deleted in the sequences of the models
• A couple of func_walls, breakables, a door and even an apache pointed to some random soundlist ("soundlist" "metal.txt", "soundlist" "wood.txt") that did not exist (also filepath was wrong), so they were removed.
• A new barney model was created to be an "all-rounder" so it can coexist in "black mesa" and in the city outside and not look out of place
• Some dead bodies and scientists got their models changed a bit for the setting of the city, so they make more sense now that there are civilians
• Regenerated .res files and packed into a .zip

Vengo de probar un poco de la versión Outdate y que épico te ha quedado. No sé que tan bueno será jugarlo pero las primeras impresiones son demasiado buenas. Prometo regresar a contar que tal me fue luego de stremearlos xd (o sino jugarlos en solitario). Y chevere que este mapa sea creado por un peruano xd.

I just came from trying a little of the Outdate version and how epic it turned out. I don't know how good it will be to play but the first impressions are too good. I promise to pass through all the maps and then come back to tell you how it went. And it's cool that this map is created by a Peruvian xd.

I think I played Desastre Ep2 not sure from what server(sbmesh maybe?)
I thought ep2 has already finished.

Good series but I think can be better

I liked the map idea, it's a large serie, full of monsters but I think it's unbalanced! Some enemies (like the "Chainsaw" guy) I thought it was immortal! Too much HP!
For the 4th map you need skills… we weren't able to cross the spiral!
The scares are great!

Missing wad

Error: 'ultimatum_t2.wad' not found.

Above WAD was in the old version of desastre and is required here by some of the bsps, but isn't in the package nor in any of the res files.

EDIT: Ignore the above, the RES files had gone missing from my server…

Map name conflict with previous release...

So, the filename of first map in this series is the same as the one in previous release at http://scmapdb.wikidot.com/map:desastre causing bsp map differ from server's. It can't have both at same time for whoever wants both.

What could be done in this case?

En lo personal la serie me encantó por la combinación de las temáticas de juegos de terror, sin embargo esto no salvó a la continuación de los mapas de la serie por sus molestos errores y la ambientación.
Positivos
- Temática única (combinación de juegos de terror)
- Ambientes variados
- Medianamente largo de duración en promedio es adecuado
- Reuso mejorado de los mapas de la serie anterior.
- Varios shortcuts que minimizan la caminata.
- No uso de puzzles ni llaves en inventario (esto ayuda a la continuación menos laboriosa)
Negativos
- Errores de continuación entre pasadizos (puertas que no se abren o paredes que no se rompen).
- Músicas con volumen muy alto (el mismo error de la serie anterior, deberías bajarlo a más de la mitad).
- Jefes con mucha vida (esto llega a aburrir a corto plazo, recomiendo máximo 2000)
- Falta de diálogos subtitulados para los que no son hispanohablantes y quieran saber sobre la temática.

Me hubiese gustado decirte específicamente los bugs pero prefiero no esperar hasta que mejores esto (depende de ti), preferiría que termines otra serie que tengas en mente pero que también tengas en cuenta que debes corregir los errores que ya te dijeron desde hace meses.
También esperaba un parte de la serie con una ambientación de bosque oscuro, tipo AOM o de preferencia Cry of Fear, cosa que no encontré en esta serie y fue lo único que me decepcionó un poco (estoy cansado de ver muchos edificios y casas en tantos mapas de Sven que se juegan).

I also played before this map. You have to know this map involved Left 4 Dead 2 style too. So.. some maps little bit taking time long because left 4 dead 2 finale style.

You said.. some door and object cant breake. Because that triggered by monster so.. you have to kill all of monsters for pass (like as Anti-rush)

And window case.. you have to throw grenades for open door or windows (this case.. people just pass somehow)

I agree to reduce chainsaw hp. Some monster have 5000 hp that will take time long for vanilla server.

Las puertas todas se abren, si te refieres al manicomio, pues ahi hay una llave, luego el resto para que abran es porque tienen que estar todos los npc muertos, en cuanto al bosque, pues si tengo el bosque remasterizado pero aun sigo avanzando, en cuanto a los errores sigo aun testeando pero no encuentro errores aun, en cuanto a la musica alta, eh usado el ambient_music la cual en svencoop hay la opcion de Music Volumen para que puedas bajar o subir el volumen independientemente de los efectos del juego, los subtitulos bueno no los eh colocado aun, pero si pienso revisar todos los mapas para arreglar los errores, en el mapa final perdonen el lagaso que tienen pero lo malo es que no es mi culpa del lagaso, es culpa del motor que no soporta cuando lo llevas al limite, y esto es le optimize un poco hasta donde se pudo, porque antes se perdian 20fps adicionales, gracias por todas tus opiniones y por darle el visto bueno a mi mapa, me falto agregar los recursos de descarga aun xD, seguire arreglando esta campaña.
Los jefes que tienen 4000 de vida es a nivel tank de l4d2 que lo hice, le bajare el 25% de vida nada mas, ya que su IA se comporta dependiendo de la vida.
Las casas y edificios que ves en mis mapas son distintos porque todas son casas de verdad que tome foto jejeje
