Description

A Black Mesa style walkthrough map from the early days of Sven Co-op. In this map you travel through many of the familiar Black Mesa style surroundings and themes, from the concrete areas to the cliff based outside areas.

+ Fix v1 - December 14, 2022 (by Garompa)

• Cleaned up bloat text from worldspawn entities
• Changed info_player_start to info_player_deathmatch
• Added some delay for teleports, to stop telefragging a bit
• Removed "scale" "100" factor from gib shooters (no more blinding!)
• Fixed spawnflags on changelevel entities
• Removed single player entities
• Changed monstermakers into squadmakers, and added proper xenmakers for them
• Removed single player entities
• Lowercased all files

dogs2:

• Removed file burning.wav which was the default ambience/burning1.wav, and fixed the file path
• Moved jjbmph.wav into a new "dogs/" folder

dogs3:

• Turned the global ambient_generic "tactical1.wav" into a proper env_sentence, which works the same, says the same thing, sounds the same and is global the same. Saving some .zip space!

dogs5:

• Removed unused info_teleport_destination
• Fixed changelevel trigger logic from trigger_multiple to trigger_once
• Re-enabled one of the 2 triggers to change the level which was supposed to call another multi manager. And moved it accordingly
• Made changelevel triggers not triggereable by monsters (why were they?!)
• Fixed the trigger_changelevel not having USE ONLY spawnflags

dogs6:

• Fixed the missing texture. The map was just calling the wrong wad, changed it and got fixed. Anyways, I turned it into an invisible trigger to use for the map end since it was a "To be continued" sign… which we all know thats never gonna happen, so why bother.
• Map is clearly unfinished, so I just added a game end portal that appears after you kill all enemies

Sorry for the flaws but I made this map when I was 15. :-) Thanks for still supporting it and even fixing bugs! What a nice surprise to see it still up here. Maybe someday I will get around to making the next chapter…

All maps merged into one using seamless teleports. This version also adds an ending to the last map.

Correct, there's no ending. Or point, to map6. It's rather an anticlimax really. Clearly there was meant to be some specific message texture on the big sign, but not any more. You just have to votemap at that point.
