Description

Absolute Redemption's prequel mod.
Originally ported as part of absolute-redemption-series now split into its own conversion.

Survival
I do not support survival mode, i am not interested. Over the years there have been
many signs from the devs that they are not willing to properly maintain this feature.

Additional credits

• Drug Barons (half-life mod) by Maverick studios. (Check original mod credits for more details.)

• redempt.wad renamed to rede.wad to avoid conflicts between darkgunner port and mine.
• removed some unused files.
• adjusted fire sprites so they look like they do in the original mod.
• rede6: minor adjustment on the truck part.

• removed more unused files.
• now you keep non default weapons across maps.
• added grenades as a default weapon. Removed crossbow.
• added custom leech model.
• rede2: fixed missing custom models on dead grunts. Fixed missing text on the sat part.
• rede6: modified the truck part at map start because i felt the entities system was unreliable. modified the warehouse elevator area, now you have to go all the way around using the stairs and not jumping over the * boxes. Renamed to rede6_1.
• rede7: modified the npc spawning order for better efficiency.
• rede8: added an rpg to make it easier to destroy the apache. Simplified env_beam entities due to performance issues.
• rede_db1: modified the scan laser doors to make them more user friendly. Fixed dying barney failing to play his almost dead animation sometimes.
• rede_db2: added some missing sounds. Added extra info_nodes to keep barney from being stuck on certain circunstances.
• due to a bug in trigger_changesky entities some maps will be divided as a temporary solution: rede1_a,rede2_a,rede2_b,rede6_1_a,rede8_a added. Hopefully this bug will be fixed in SC 5.26 and this change will be reverted.

• fixed some objets disappearing randomly.
• rede1: fixed barney opening door before the right time. Fixed barney being distracted with nearby attacks breaking scripted_sequences and the map.
• rede2_a: fixed players been seen on screen.
• rede3: fixed monsters disappearing.
• rede4: fixed telefrag in alien ship area.
• rede5: Blocked the area skipping with the electrical wires. Adjusted garg vs roy/telnorp area to avoid unnecessary delays.
• rede7: fixed repel grunts without custom models.
• rede8: fixed hideout door closing up before respawning all, leading to a soft lock if you have bad luck. Fixed telnorps moving and shooting beams in a wrong way.
• rede_db1: fixed env_beams causing low performance issues.
