Description
You are the security team in the eastern laboratories of Wildfalcon. As a result of an unknown accident, aliens attacked the facility. There is no way to save the place, just leave it behind. Some military units will try to stop you from leaving, so you must use force.
OBJECTIVE:
- Escape from the facility

This is actually quite fun and achievable in SP, it's linear with some backtracking, moderate combat, with a couple of route challenges, a little jumping and some exploration. There's some nice brushwork and lighting as well, it's great foundation for more complex maps, nice work so far!
There's some minor route puzzles with some slight jumping challenge which is nice, you might make the electric water a little more obviously electrified and you could significantly enhance the gameplay with some dynamic enemy spawning, some carefully placed turrets, more hazardous monsters in the breakable pens - maybe randomize the location of the button within the pens to avoid subsequent rushing. Maybe add a few RPG grunts in the dark/crate area or a couple of strategically located snipers to 'fix' rushers. Also more co-op challenges would be welcome, and not just 2-buttons-at-once, maybe some boost/climbing challenges, defense against hordes whilst a team member cracks a codelock or something.. maybe add some timed elements, i.e. the electrified water rises fairly quickly, or monster respawn rate increases, etc. An obvious one is to defend against attack in the time taken for the elevator to arrive, and the addition of some alien controllers in the outdoor areas. Maybe randomize some of the bosses, e.g. kingpins instead of baby gargs each time..
If you are feeling confident, you could dynamically adjust the difficulty based on number of players joining, since this sort of map is easily spoiled by 16 or more ppl piling into it at once.
You made a nice map there, you show much promise for the next ones! Good job. :)
Only problem is I've played it back in the day but now the spawn is broken, sometimes you spawn on the other side of the fence where the map is supposed to end and players cant escape, unless you stack and jump the fence but that would always leave a player on the other side, and make respawning a real pain.
I agree, a very nice first map and quite possible to play solo.
