Escape Plan

Description
This is a payload map. I got an idea of making this map when seeing the map script here on the Sven Co-op official forums.
Just like regular payload maps in TF2, you push the truck to the destination and you win. Monsters will show up to stop you when you push the truck.
Multiplayer is highly recommended.
This map was initially to be a port of Hoxton Breakout heist in PAYDAY 2. Due to the limit of map size, that was canceled.
Story:
After the Black Mesa incident, portal storms always approach and many cities were occupied by Xen.
A driver delivering the supplies for civvies is now the potential target of Xen. You, as a soldier of the nation, are assigned to protect the truck.
Good luck, soldier!

We found the egon, bazooka and the m50 before even the truck get started. So with the infinit egon ammo it was too easy.
The path is too short and boring, we finish the map in less than 15 minutes and we were 3 players.
I think the idea is cool, but it really needs some more effort
I find it difficult. Since players dont know where those guns are, it gets really hard when the truck reaches the slope down to the underground area. But enjoyable.
I agree that the path is short and boring, but that's the map. It is mapped like that and its ok for it to be simple. Could even be expanded upon. But perhaps, to make it more fun, obstacles could be in the way like crashed cars and big trucks. So the van would circle around them, and when needed players should destroy the blocking vehicles. Just a suggestion.
Overall the map plays well imho, and its an interesting take with that shop system not seen in any other map which is very good and interesting.
Sadly we coould not test the map (2.4) as it always crashed the Server in the first few minutes. There must be a serious bug around.
Besides that:
- Maybe provide some Default inventory and ammo, it takes quite a lot of time to stock up on the vending machine
- It also takes too Long from the truck to the vending machine and back, maybe add a 2-way teleporter
Thanks for the feedback!
First, I haven't encountered any crash during testing. Maybe I need to test more somehow.
As for the teleporter, actually there are loads of vending machines on your way to push the truck. Mostly on the sidewalks, they function the same as the first one.
And I am working on some presets so people could just purchase them instead of purchase weapons individually.
Still, thank you for your feedback.
Do you have AMXX installed? Remove it if so.
A friend of mine runs a server which has a lot of Angel Script plugins installed but no AMXX, he runs the map just fine.
And I haven't encountered any crash either.
This map heavily relies on Angel Script, so I guess there must be some conflict between AS and AMXX.
I like the concept but I didn't have anyone to play with to be able to judge it fully.
I would say the lighting might need some work.
I tried to make this map creepy, basically that's why the map is so dark. Besides, dark environment could hide the bottleneck of graphics - just like what you get in AoM & CoF. But it seems that I failed.
This map was started from that concept, and I wanted to create a better co-op experience. The most ideal scenario is that some people push the truck while some people kill enemies. A sad fact is that I still don't have people playtested in multiplayer, all I can do is crossing my fingers and hoping it would be fun.
Still, thanks for your advice.
The lighting outside is fine, seemed a little bright inside.
Can be difficult to gauge building for more people without the people to test it with.
yes, the main lobby of the building is fullbright, which looks really bad. The underground area (spawn area) not so much, it has some lighting but still could use some more darkness
The lobby is supposed to be that bright. since I just want people to remember there are supplies for them.
And when I was doing the inside stuff, I had not decided whether the map should be set on day or night.
Anyway, I will look into this. Thanks.
Lobby lighting looks a bit better now :)
