• Further turned all .wav into .ogg to reduce file sizes, and fixed soundlists and model sounds
• Added missing textures to .wads from porevious maps (these maps are not affected but we must keep the same files across these mappacks updated)
• Regenerated .res files and repacked into a .zip

• Made big prop models have big clipping boxes to render off screen so they don't disappear from the player's view when the model origin is off screen

• Fixed map entities not starting in map c4a for the new rain
• Added more and new rain effects in maps c4 and c4a using env shooters and iterators

• Made rain be more random and realistic instead of all sprites and conveyors moving at the same pace and speed. This greatly improves the ambience effects and looks more realistic
• Turned info_player_coop and _start to _deathmatch
• Moved cyclers one unit up because some might not be rendering while being underground or just touching the ground, and changed just a couple into item_generic for better display
• Moved some trees floating
• Turned bushes into item_generic instead of cyclers because of collision. And turned cycler sprites trees into cyclers for the same reason
• All spawns have names, and trigger a one time relay to start the map entities from trigger_autos that now have been deleted. This makes it so the map does not properly start until there is at least one player that has spawned first into the map
• Cleaned up a lot of entities from useless gibberish (like keyvalues from other entities in entities that do not use them) and did the same with the worlspawn entities

• Fixed all cameras from maps c2, c5 and c6_final. Now players won't get stuck in the cameras forever or be killed using them
• The camera event in map c5 now plays once and for all players. Previously this map played like a lobby map and players did not know what to do. This was because the scripted scene was not being seen by other players at all.

• Ripented the latest repack v3.1 with ripent onto the base original maps by the author, to fix any potential mismatch errors because of broken CRC by the current version of newbspguy. Tested the maps load fine without any missing brush model errors.

• Added the .gmr and .gsr to .cfg files instead of the worldspawn entity (if anything changes, this means it won't require a ripent)
• Generated .res files without any errors
• Packed into a .zip using 7zip
• Added missing gmr & gsr files
• Added gmr & gsr files to missing maps

Will HS B connect to HS C? Or are A and B the only ones that are supposed to be connected?

Author wants to connect them when all parts are finished (A to H). So the changes on the pages are rolled back and now A and B are split into their own pages again, and are not connected anymore.
Personally I don't know if they can be connected. There will be too many maps for one single page in my opinion. The download would be massive (way more than the 200mb limit of upload). But on the other hand it will be better to have one single page for the series.

Thanks for the info. I would agree, even if its feasible to have them all connect, they are quite long and no doubt have a bit of their own flavor. I recorded myself playing it with a few friends and it took 2 and a half hours to get to the second part of C, which crashed due to the bug listed below, otherwise I would have kept going. Pretty long series. Very good too.

All Chapters(A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H) are connected to each other. We're working on Chapter D right now, when we finish all chapters we'll add more details,merge all chapters with cutscenes(cutscenes are about the lore and these would be skippable) and release a complete final version of Haunted Souls.

Thanks for the fixes to the sounds. I added v3 of the repack that fixes the crashing and a few other things. It should be good now

Same issue. Was doing a complete run of parts A, B and C and then hit that map. Glad you fixed it quick. I have never seen a map hang like that. It didn't crash, it just froze the server completely.
