Description

11 map series 5 map series set in Black Mesa. Revisit a few chapters from Half-Life after Gordon Freeman has passed by!
Fight your way activating generators and blowing up walls to progress. Difficulty is medium-high. A server favorite for sure.

• Merged all maps into 5
• Fixed textures and unembedded them into comando.wad
• Incredible amount of bug fixing, can't even remember
• Added a couple more enemies and items
• Fixed up revisited areas from HL to be more accurate
• Added objectives and other things with hints for noob players
• Tried to make things difficult for rushers by creating integrated antirush mechanics (that don't break immersion)
• Added a couple of custom models that were leftovers from removed scmapdb maps, so the work is not lost
• Adjusted cfg files accordingly
• Added a couple more areas to explore that were unused (one or two rooms, nothing major)
• Regenerated res files and packed into a zip

• Fixed the repack to not contain unused files (final archive is hl_comando_finalfix.zip)
• Added unused files as a separate download for archive purposes (hl_comando_extras.zip)
• Deleted landmarks from singleplayer mod
• Replaced changelevels to previous maps with invisible walls
• Added level change sprites to map ending zones
• Changed "end.bsp" to "co1l.bsp" (many issues were reported because other maps have the same name)
• Fixed some vents and events that should be triggered on map start (because they are triggered on previous map)
• Fixed exploration: added items recquired to progress, so players have to explore and not ignore parts of the map, rushing ahead
• Added some objective markers
• Rearranged weapon progression across all maps
• Added more weapons, medkit and armor/healing items to first map
• Changed the timelimit 20 to 70 in the cfgs (they were too short for some people)
• Deleted the weaponstay 0 to 1 in the cfgs (this encourages lack of weapons ingame. it stops now!)
• Fixed missing files
• Added seamless and sizeless support for DGF's health and HEV stations plugin, as this map has its own models for them and they were clipping on top of each other
• Fixed the ending from co1k adding a teleport after the fade to black
• Fixed some triggers not triggering some things properly
• Changed co1k start barrels to actual explosive barrels. Makes more sense instead of a random explosion.

+ March 5, 2019 (by Garompa)

• Small fix to "co1a.bsp": The broken bridge is triggered and a scientist leg gib added at the bullsquid pit (referencing the HL scientist "stand back! gordon!" as intended). And the first glass window is now unbreakable, so players can't just rush and have to actually jump on the boxes to reach the vent, again as intended in the first place.

• There's a new end.
• The number of maps included in this pack are 12, there's one more since the beta had only 11 maps. It's recommended to be played with 2 or 3 players. The estimated time needed to end this maps is about 1-2 hours depending on how good u are.

Gameplay is decent but very, as was said before, very very uninspired and repetitive. There is no story to speak of, nor any sound atmosphere. Also maps suffer from weird, anti-intuitive designs: breakable objects with textures of unbreakable objects, invisible walls, walls you can go through, getting crushed without warning…

unsure if conversion of stand alone mod - but cool anyway
few locations doesn't match up with bmrf layout - but those only mino details
download require bit of fixing to get best result - but flow is fine even without

I have fixed all bugs, missing files, triggers, and res files. Also made the last map name "co1l.bsp" instead of "end" fixing this way potential map name conflicts that have been reported.

I suggest the admins to please delete all the files clogging this page except from "hlc_fixed_sc50.7z" (current bugfixed version uploaded by me) and "hlc-sc.zip" (original version uploaded by coldblooded).

well - in the "final fix" zip the cielo2 sky files have upercase extension .TGA - has to be updated to .tga to make it work with linux file sensitive
also: in co1f the models-folder is spelled UPERCASE

Thanks for the feedback. The maps have been fixed. There should be no more problems now. Check changelogs for more.
