LITTLE ROCK TESTING FACILITY

Little Rock Testing Facility, somewhere in Brazil. Working co-operatively with the Rocky Mountains and the Black Mesa Research Facility on Xen space and organisms. Highly trained scientist have created a multitude of inventions using Xen technology… including the Teleportation system.
Animal testing wasn't enough for the arrogant scientists of the LRTF. The composition of the human race would have a far different reaction to the Xenite minerals than that of the local monkey population.
Mysteriously…in a nearby town… there were 34 reports of missing people within a single month. Very few clues point to the LRTF…and the police frankly haven't got the jurisdiction to investigate without proper evidence.
Almost the big day. Along with the Black Mesa and the Rocky Mountains Research Facilities, the LRTF will attempt to open a portal between the 2 realms…Xen and Earth. From the testing on the innocent civilians the scientists concluded that the Xenite minerals would not be harmful to them.
With nothing to do with these people since the testing is done they tossed them into a dark, musty cell.
Then the mixed transmission from Black Mesa came…

Everything went wrong.
Almost everyone's dead.
Except the innocent civilians who are
locked in a cell.
As one of these civilians you must…
ESCAPE!!
Get out of the complex where there will most likely be a air convoy waiting for any survivors…

Been wondered about them too… Their decals are everywhere.
While playing this map in twlz server, we had a problem after solving the platforms & 5 buttons with co-op players which it doesn't open the door leading to power station or something.
Thanks to a noclipped mod/admin who completed it. xD
This map was quite difficult for non-bhoppers like me, still fun challenge and it depend on player's IQ to solve in another way.

Once you activate the NOMAD console you're supposed to go back to the bottom of that main stairwell into the laboratory. The voice asks you to turn on the power, "Smithers went down there and never came back".
You're then meant to go to the stairwell where a thin "1" door has opened. This was the door you heard a Barney and scientist argue earlier then get killed. Break a manhole cover then go down to a rotary jumping challenge, where the generator is at the other end.

Once that's on you'll here the scientist say "Excellent, someone has restored all power", after which the final door to the portal room opens.
