Description
Mazing 2008 is a maze map with a randomly chosen route in each game. There are also eight altars inside the maze, of which four are open by random. The goal is to activate those four altars to open the exit door. If you reach the exit room (where the door is located) before the altars are active, you are able to open all the random walls inside the labyrinth by pushing two buttons in that room at the same time (which means you probably need a friend for that). When the walls are open, it's a lot easier to walk around the labyrinth and find the rest of the altars. When you reach the exit room after activating all the four altars, your spawn area changes into that room and you can proceed to the final boss fight. It is a three phase fight, but I won't go into details here. Some things are explained in the game with text messages, and the rest you should be able to figure out yourself!
Objectives:
- Find and activate four altars inside the labyrinth to awake an ancient entity.
- Reach the exit door and destroy the entity who is waiting for you.
Tips:
- Staying together helps you to survive longer.
- Spreading out helps you to find the objectives faster.
- The Servants of Ra (mummies) keep respawning. Keep your shotgun reloaded.
- Armor is effective against Gargantua's flamethrower attack. There are lots of armor batteries hidden inside the labyrinth.
- Reach the exit room with a friend to open all the random walls inside the labyrinth by pushing two buttons.
- Some walls can be opened as secret doors by using the +use key on them.
Additional info
- It received BOMS status on the Sven Co-op forums, and was later included in Sven Co-op 4.0b.
- Due to engine limits, servers must have maxplayers greater than 2 in order to prevent crashing.
- On a listenserver, the flashlight may be enabled even though it should be off. To fix this, restart the map with "changelevel sc_mazing".

I'm going to start with the positive: the boss battle at the end of this map is quite creative, visually cool, and encourages a little bit of thinking and teamwork.
The rest of the map is a randomized maze of identical-looking hallways which are oftentimes dark. The flashlight is disabled, too, for some ungodly reason.
Most of the time playing this map will be spent in the maze. You will most likely get separated from the other players, so you'll just kind of bump around in this dark maze for a long time until you eventually find the four requisite altars which open the final door.
The maze itself is technically impressive, considering the random nature of it, but… well… does ANYONE find mazes in first-person games enjoyable in the least? I don't understand why people put them in maps for any reason other than trying to hide a secret (e.g. how Turrican uses them)

I CAN NOT run this map why?
OMG Did I write that??? WTF
Quite possibly the most epic boss battle ever conceived. I expect nothing less from A1win.
Random, mysterious, and annoying :D
Fantastic map, with a great boss fight. Well done :)
