GENERIC FIXES

• Used the original maps as a base to ripent the .ent through import, bypassing the version mismatch errors in the maps ripented by newbspguy's current bug that the ripents of other people are having due to copy pasting brushes. Checked for errors and the maps work fine without version mismatch on servers.
• Changed some env_messages to game_text
• Changed env_model to item_generic
• Changed monstermakers into squadmakers, with proper translated spawnflags
• Fixed squadmakers without spawnflags or missing spawnflags, to have proper spawnflags
• Changed info_player_start to info_player_deathmatch
• Changed env_beam's negative StrikeTime value, to positive values (this could've caused crashes due to overflows)
• Changed env_xenmakers that were spawning monsters, into squadmakers with proper external xenmaker entity
• Replaced some of the Wayne's models that were identical to default (hwgrunt and hwgrunt_ld) with some other of the default custom hwgrunt models
• Removed Wayne's missing soundlist files references in maps, and .gmr and .gsr as well
• Gave many alien monsters spawned through squadmakers, a properly colored xenmaker effect
• Replaced item_security and brush based item collectibles, with item_inventory
• Used Wayne's ripents as a base. His guide arrows and wrong way signs have been replaced with more immersive things like lights, props, breakables with hud displaynames, enemies, etc… Except in maps that have a theme where it would be plausible to have direction signs.
• Enemies with humongous amounts of health have been toned down a lot
• Maps with low ammo at start have now extra weapons and ammo at spawn
• game_text messages have been tweaked to be less intrusive, away from the crosshair, indicating the character name that speaks if intended, and sometimes giving them proper color that indicates ally or enemy.
• Typos in game_texts and displaynames have been fixed. Usage of "\n" (new lines) in displaynames has been abolished
• Fixed typos on entities making them not recognizable by the game
• Fixed netnames when intended to be used as displaynames on old maps. Now you can see those npcs true names!
• Regenerated .res files
• Repacked with missing files into a .zip using resguy

• Merged external model textures and sequences
• Moved models to a models/moria/ folder instead of having the custom models thrown into the models folder

Uploaded Nipper's original versions of Moria for Archival

Hello Sven Co-op and LOTR fans! I have been a SC fan from nearly the beginning and was an active user on the original SC forums. I clearly remember two things. First, I recall that you could fall into the well to find a secret where Gollum was lurking around. When I explored the latest version of this map I found that this area was removed. Luckily, I found the original versions on one of my hard drives, so I have decided to back these versions up on SCMDB for posterity's sake. Secondly, I recall the discussion on the forums at the time when Nipper first published this map, shortly after tFotR premiered in theatres. Many users were very impressed with the level of quality of the map, and one user asked how many times he had saw the film, since it wasn't available for home video at this time. Nipper answered he only saw it once (or twice) and that he built the map from memory. When you compare the original and revamped versions you can see that that the newer one closely matches the architecture of the Mines of Moria that we see in the film, so you can surmise that Nipper chose to upgrade the map some time later by using still frames from the movie. I hope everyone can appreciate this.

This revamped version of nipper's original moria.bsp is a fantastic improvement. It's set in Gothic-like mines with ye olde weapons. Also features a couple of traps.
