Description

You are a grunt invading Black Mesa and the scientists are trying to stop you.

Additional info

The last map has no ending and nothing happens after killing all 850 headcrabs.

Map series created by Protector. There were some plans about this map but the uncompiled map files were lost back in 2008 after an accident about cleaning a desk and pushing the harddrive while it was running. Decompiling was considered but it was too much of a pain.

The last map is largely based on the HL Deathmatch map: Bounce. But is unfinished.

• Removed a func_ladder from map 7. An unfixable map architecture error creates an invisible wall preventing from using it. (does not affect gameplay)
• Added an ending, expanding from where Protector left it. Enjoy!

Based on the original version.

• Fixed softlock in op_blackmesa1.
  • the level-change door wouldn't open if used before grabbing the keycard.
• Fixed softlock in op_blackmesa9.
  • The truck wouldn't move if the wheel was used before opening the door.
• Added a game_end to op_blackmesa9. Triggered after the music finishes.

Very nice series. Sadly it seems abandoned, and one of the maps is just filler with a small 30sec cutscene and thats it which also looks as an older version of the next map but only the first spawn area.

Protector made it? That explains the technically impressive bits. The breakable mirror in part 8 is amazing.

Added a community fix for all the bugs, plus features like an actual ending so it is playable on servers. I couldn't get a reply from Protector so i don't know if this is to his liking. I will change it up in the future if he so desires.

Only seeing this now! That's really cool! I don't recall anyone contacting me in 2021 about this, maybe you used an email or account I don't use anymore. 2004 is a long time ago :D I didn't play it yet, but it looks good as far as I can tell. Will definitely check it out! The only thing I ask is not to use he/him when referring to me, they/them is fine, thank you!
