Description

Hello.

Current Location:
Black mesa west Outpost and near storage Sector E.

This Black mesa Outpost have been taken under military control.
Our mission is to secure the hostages who are in one of the top secret
labs in this sector. The hostages have information which is very
valuable for us. If we are lucky the marines have not spotted them yet.

GENERIC FIXES

• Used the original maps as a base to ripent the .ent through import, bypassing the version mismatch errors in the maps ripented by newbspguy's current bug that the ripents of other people are having due to copy pasting brushes. Checked for errors and the maps work fine without version mismatch on servers.
• Changed some env_messages to game_text
• Changed env_model to item_generic
• Changed monstermakers into squadmakers, with proper translated spawnflags
• Fixed squadmakers without spawnflags or missing spawnflags, to have proper spawnflags
• Changed info_player_start to info_player_deathmatch
• Changed env_beam's negative StrikeTime value, to positive values (this could've caused crashes due to overflows)
• Changed env_xenmakers that were spawning monsters, into squadmakers with proper external xenmaker entity
• Replaced some of the Wayne's models that were identical to default (hwgrunt and hwgrunt_ld) with some other of the default custom hwgrunt models
• Removed Wayne's missing soundlist files references in maps, and .gmr and .gsr as well
• Gave many alien monsters spawned through squadmakers, a properly colored xenmaker effect
• Replaced item_security and brush based item collectibles, with item_inventory
• Used Wayne's ripents as a base. His guide arrows and wrong way signs have been replaced with more immersive things like lights, props, breakables with hud displaynames, enemies, etc… Except in maps that have a theme where it would be plausible to have direction signs.
• Enemies with humongous amounts of health have been toned down a lot
• Maps with low ammo at start have now extra weapons and ammo at spawn
• game_text messages have been tweaked to be less intrusive, away from the crosshair, indicating the character name that speaks if intended, and sometimes giving them proper color that indicates ally or enemy.
• Typos in game_texts and displaynames have been fixed. Usage of "\n" (new lines) in displaynames has been abolished
• Fixed typos on entities making them not recognizable by the game
• Fixed netnames when intended to be used as displaynames on old maps. Now you can see those npcs true names!
• Regenerated .res files
• Repacked with missing files into a .zip using resguy

sc_outpost_v2

• Removed Wayne's missing global model list for buff zombies
• Fixed a squadmaker trying to spawn monster_hgrunt instead of monster_human_grunt
• Gave doors sounds
• Gave alien monsters xenmakers
• Replaced Wayne's ripent custom zombies that are missing with some other default custom models
• Fixed the beam on the tracks that was supposed to be electricity. Now it looks like so and has a red wire as a visual cue to alert players. Also made the sparks toggleable so they are turned off alongside the electricity
• Matched the color of the other electricity beam to the first one, and made the sparks toggleable too
• Added lip to doors to fix z fighting
• Added damage to all doors. And crushing damage to doors that stay open.
• Reversed direction of some func door rotating that were opening the wrong way
• Added monsters cant flag to all doors
• Added an extra hint for the really hard to see ladder in the garg room
• Added an extra button for the doors in the garg room so you have to parkour with the puzzle. Otherwise the jump puzzle was useless.
• Fixed the seam on the glass in the barney and zombie room, and when the barney dies the glass breaks so you can enter and murder the zombie
• Fixed position of some track sparks that were in the middle of the air :SV
• The rotating fans jumping puzzles now do block damage as well
• The laser wall button now deactivates both lasers, and attempts to deactivate the lights too. The dummy func trains for the lasers are now also invisible just in case
• Scientist room lasers now don't have sparks
• Scientist lasers now have trigger hurts too, so players cannot bunnyhop over them
• The scripted headcrab now has prisoner flag to stop any problems with the scientists sequences
• Sequences now don't trigger the lasers directly, potentially getting a softlock, and there is now a failsafe in case they fail
• Scientist names you have to rescue are now changed from Luther and Einstein to Slicky, Anders and Einstein
• Teleport sprites now get activated when the teleports are
• Fixed porttohell door not opening. Instead of a multisource from an unrealiable grunt death (that eventually failed in one of the tests), I added the door to open forcefully after opening the shortcut
• Fixed laser on tracks not deactivating
• Fixed lampan1 lamp glows to disable when light breaks properly
• Changed the barney vs zombie to a gonome, because the zombie would be too stupid and get stuck often, not killing the barney and dying.

sc_outpost_v2_2

• Added xenmakers to some aliens that were popping into existance in front of players view
• Added damage to doors and sounds
• Fixed items to item inventory
• Added a scientist where the scream is heard and moved the scream
• Fixed links on big doors after the computer button
• Moved some guide arrows and glows by Wayne so they mark the path to follow properly above the doors on the side that matters most
• Added objectives text to the location text, now you rescue Luther and Einstein

Part 2 crash server

Problem Map: sc_outpost_v2_2
Event: Crash server when loading ends.
Happen Chance: 100%

Crash Bug Source: Found 2 or more "info_player_start" in the map , info_player_start should be single and unique, use "info_player_deathmatch" to be multi-player spawn point.

Actually I take that back, it freezes the game for a minute or so while it generates the node graph.
Other then that it playes fine.
