A very fun map! Again, takedeppo makes a fun map with a fun idea. I played this map with two friends. The map says it's for 4+ and we could feel it a bit, but it wasn't too bad.
The progression of making the pizza is silly and fun. The animations of the customers eating their pizza is a fun touch. The music selection also managed to match the situation at hand. It had a good flow between puzzles and fighting enemies.
The only things I would nitpick about this is that if you jump to go downstairs, you take a good chunk of damage. Also, the enemy spawns on the map are kind of jarring because they just appear out of nowhere without much effort to hide it.
this has got to be my favorite sven co-op map :-D
I did not play through the entire map, but I really enjoyed its original concept. It’s not perfect though:
- It’s not really fun to find enemies ("vermins") that spawn out of literally nowhere and in what seems to be an infinite loop.
- The mapping REALLY needs a lot of work.
- It looks like random models and sounds were just taken of any possible place and put in the same map. Might be on purpose though.
- Why not use ambient_music for the music, so we can lower its volume in the game settings? Hearing the same music loop over and over again is quite annoying.
I would however recommend it for anyone who doesn’t care about basic level design, and I hope to play it again and finish it!
in defense of it, its an uboa-styled map and honestly they were all known for poor brushwork quality (the map isn't a bad level design when it gets quite a lot of attention now, does it?, but its just the brushwork that looks newbie-like)

Bad for me sorry, I don't see the interest to make a pizza with a weird level design and shooting x aliens appearing on a cave. Could be interesting for more work and real fun ideas (Like defending the shop from the aliens that were hungry of a pizza for example !)
But like this really no for me.

Ive just replayed this and i've noticed weird behavior.
Airstrike rockets that hit the floor, only produce screenshake. Only those rockets that hit enemies actually produce explosions and damage.
Ive also noticed this weird behavior on hl_c11_a5.
EDIT:
Just asked on discord. H2 said to add sk_mortar = 200 to your custom skill.cfg. That fixed an issue.
EDIT 2:
The can with insecticide cannot be grabbed anymore in Pizza_ya_san2..
The part where you bake the pizza, use grenades for firepower and that, at the end of it, the pizza doesn't show.

Hi takedeppo.50cal,
It looks like a change to prevent server crashes related to AngelScript has broken the weapons on your map. I took a look and made a patch for my server and I am uploading the patched scripts here. There were several methods that were deprecated in the CBase* area which were used in your weapon scripts. All I did was replace the "self.m_pPlayer" calls with a local private variable "m_pPlayer" which checks for an unlinked pointer. If you get a chance you can test the scripts in the release candidate under "Betas" in Steam. The scripts should be backwards compatible with the 5.10 release (I did a very brief test on my server and it seems to work.) Feel free to patch your download with these if they seem to work for you.
The patch should be listed on this page if you scroll to the bottom under Files; it's called: pizza_ya_san_AS_5_11_fix.zip
Anyone who wants to check/test this patch should install the files under the directory: Sven Co-op/svencoop_addon/scripts/maps/pizza_ya_san

I installed candidate beta version to local.
Like you said, I confirmed script errors.
and I checked your modified source code with WinMerge diff tool.
(checked hl_weapons/weapon_hlxxxxx.as too.)
It seems "m_pPlayer" member doesn't work by specification change on weapons script in next version.
may be your code is correct and it seems no problem.
(I believe site admin repack and upload these files. so, I probably not doing anything (((( ゚ω゚) )
uboa_rampage is undergoing correction work. (maybe)
