This was an interesting, albeit kind of abstract take on a campaign from quite a long time ago. Loved it back then, had some quirky ideas.
However, this ripent 'port' seems …broken at best. Lots of entities redirecting to nonexistant maps/targets and the entire campaign appears unplayable at this stage in time. It's a shame, because I feel with proper attention it could be successfully ported. Also, some maps are missing from the original campaign altogether— not sure why.
Case in point of broken maps: Right off the bat verc_1 has noticeable transition/ambient issues. For instance, the first teleport 'jump' does not play the proper ambient gunshot sounds so it leads to a bit of confusion— there's very little attempt to make the transition logical. Also at the end of the map a sizeable cutscene is supposed to play, however it's -completely- busted in this variant, leaving players confused and stuck in the 'xen void' at the end with a LONG wait to map transition. None of the ambient sounds even play. Many scripted sequences are supposed to play here, the biggest of which is, at the end of verc_1 the player is shot and later a dead player (Gordon) is shown. In this port however the audio for the gunshot does not play and the rest of the cutscenes are completely missing, their entities seem entirely removed from my understanding, though they could just be mislinked. This has led to many people at the end of verc_1 simply rocking the vote or voting a different map as they are led to believe there is no level transition at all. Quite understandable as it takes many entire -minutes- to change the map with absolutely, nothing happening.
Overall it's completely busted and is a -very- hacky ripent port. I may try my hand at fixing it at some point as I have some great nostalgia for this pack, though in it's current state it's completely unplayable and will probably require grabbing the original maps from HL1 PQL and doing a completely new Ripent conversion…
Once you get to the end of verc_6 it won't change maps automatically because the next map is titled verc_11. Can't play the rest of the series unless an admin is present.

I don't understand this. It looks like different maps from different places renamed. The first few maps are horrible and have hideous architecture. then verc_15 and 16 look very good indeed like taken from somewhere else. Verc_13 is about a ship and finding a headcrab, again nothing makes sense at all, then it goes back to being total crap architecture in the final map. Judging by the numbers "verc_X" there are a ton of maps missing. And Verc_18 that is not included here is actually a map by someone else posted here which actually is very good.
verc_17 is totally broken, spawn point is random at start and can be spawned under the map. This means you can end up at a place with no weapons, no exit and an immortal tank camping the spawn point or worse.
This is a strange upload indeed.
edit: I think I'll start calling these "steam workshop material".

deberias haberlo ripenteado un poco aunque sea, como dijo tu amigo zergcito. Solo un par de mapas funcionan bien y estan buenos pero eso fue solo buena suerte. La mayoria estan rotos y bugeados.
