This map contains changes I actually made to secretcity5 years ago but was unable to compile due to engine limitations. This is a version of Secretcity5 with the changes nobody ever got to see now there are fewer limits. This should be thought of as an extended Secretcity5 rather than a new map, and I might consider extending it further at some point since it is my favorite of all the ones I made.
- The secretcity series were originally made to be fun, lobby maps with no end, but they birthed an infamous saga of its own with its unique atmosphere and gameplay. So, decades later the community made a server-ready walkthrough playable version with tons of bugfixes. You can find the updated remastered version here: SecretCity Saga Remastered

I played Secret City 5 Alpha on some server, and I didn't complete any of the objectives because I didn't know what to do. Secret City 5 Alpha looked a lot different from Secret City X. So anyway, there was this anomaly that if I walked into it, it would let me jump really high and really far. Is there something like that in Secret City X, and if so can I get a hint on how to make this anomaly appear? Also, does it appear in the same spot as it did in Secret City 5 Alpha?
the 'anomaly' which makes your gravity lower was just something that turrican left accidentally, it was just for developer/testing purposes, however the remaster turns it into a feature in Secret City 5 Beta, but in Secret City X it was removed from the reason mentioned earlier, you could just unlock a gauss gun in the X version anyway (at least in the remaster) as an alternative for big high jumping
Thanks for the responses. As for the response you gave me about the question mark box, I didn't understand any of that. It's probably because I am a noob on this map so I am unfamiliar with all those puzzles and areas. And as for the response you gave me on this hint request, the server was using Secret City 5 Beta and I'd like to familiarize myself with the same version. So I uninstalled Secret City X and installed 5 Beta instead. How do I get alerts to replies on here? I had no idea that you responded to me until I went back to this Secret City X page.
I think I figured out how to turn notifications on. It was set to Never and I changed it to every 8 hours. Hopefully, the subscriptions are automatic as I don't want to copy and paste links manually.
there were never alpha version available anywhere public, it was either beta or the x version, which were also remastered (which were made by a diffrent person) after some time which added a whole lot of hints and connected the maps.
oh dang i remember now, the area where you were stuck has a blowable hole and you have to drag the yellow box somewhere around it which will explode once you place it right
iirc the jungle area that contains the question mark box is there to make a whole in the ground. But the ground underneath can be blown up by a grenade as well even if you move the box. Since this puzzle is seen twice in the series, the second time players encounter it they are trolled instead >:) and the box explodes only to kill players.
@SV Boy and Garompa - Thank you. I used noclip last night and saw the hole in the ground and used a grenade for it.
How do I get notifications that someone replied to me? I turned it on to be notified every hour. Do I have to manually subscribe to posts? I thought that it would be automatic. Or is there a subscribe button somewhere? Where do the notifications show up? On most websites, I would see a message counter at the top of the website that shows how many new messages I have.

How are you seeing and replying to my posts then? I have no idea someone replied to my post unless I click on a bookmark for this game mod thread. Seems like a hassle. I mean there are 1,500 maps on this database. If I posted in 100 of them, it would be a hassle to keep checking all 100 game mod thread pages to see if anyone replied.

I ran into another problem. This might only be solved by a map restart. I found a secret area with a question mark box. I didn't know what to do with the box, so I dragged it into the room that I came out of - the room that is all black except for yellow highlighted objects. I tried pushing the question mark box down the hallway that I cam from, but the hallway won't let you go back the way you came so it pushes you back. I then took my gun out and fired at the box and it blew up. The box never respawned. The problem is that if this box is necessary to complete an objective, then what am I supposed to do if the box blows up?
if you're talking about the box from the "dylan hunt" secret, it's really only has two uses: either making the red ladder section easier by blocking it with the yellow box, or blocking the nomble, which really doesn't do anything but its funny to block a red square death machine
don't worry about its relevance though, it's not much required unless you want to make 1 puzzle easier
Hi. I am new to Sven Co-op and the Sven Co-op Map Database. I downloaded Secret City X today, and I ran into a problem. There is a secret area with four rooms. Each room has an elemental tablet. If you die inside this room and drop something and respawn at the starting point, you can no longer go into the room to retrieve the dropped item because the room entrance is walled off. I died from damage and lack of oxygen, and I dropped a wolf arm. I could not retrieve it later because the room entrance was walled off. Similarly, if you are in the room and don't reach the exit in time, the exit is walled off. If there another way to exit the room other then suicide?
Nevermind. I figured something out just now. I used sv_cheats 2 and cl_noclip 1 to get behind the walled off entrance. But the wolf arm was no longer there. I got scared that the wolf arm despawns after a short amount of time. I tested this out by restarting the map, getting the arm, bringing it to the starting point, and committing suicide. The arm despawns after a short while. But the good news is I went back to where the arm originally was and it had respawned there. And I am thinking (I could be wrong) that once the elemental tabs are picked up, it doesn't matter if you die or can't get back in the elemental tablet room because elemental tablets aren't inventory items.
