Description
A call warned about Gman stalking around a remote area of Black Mesa, we don't know what his mysterious agenda is, but one thing's assured: He must be stopped.
Now you and your squad must stop him with the help of some HECU marines, it isn't a surprise that Black Mesa is still a zone with a lot of alien activity. Reports indicate high levels of Xen wildlife presence as well as the new "Race X", bio-mech units and even unidentified enemies. Be careful!
Additional info

GOOD maps and sounds ;)
Yeah, that was my "attemp to" create custom sounds for the Panthereye without being an buffed Alien Slave but it didn't work according to some engine limitations and I forgot to clean it.
Thanks for your comment!
Just played these with some friends and we had a great time! These maps are perfect if you like fairly linear exploration and intense alien/zombie combat. The spawns are about right for 4 players, there's tons of ammo so it should be good even on vanilla servers. The layout is well thought out and there's some nice detail throughout! Spawning and supplies are pretty well balanced, no huge spawn-lags so far, nor did we run out of supplies even though combat was intense and protracted sometimes. Use of grapple is a welcome addition, very much in the Redfang tradition, bonus for that. Some scary moments and some lol ones await..
Another very satisfying map set, good job Onox! All the more impressive, since the Author is a relatively new Mapper, this is a nicely thought-out and well built set, in the classic HL/BM style with a good assortment of battles and some nice custom reskins for an extra twist.
Only one play-through currently, so not all secrets found yet, but so far it's been good fun! (Except for the extended ear-rape.. -1 point)
Boi, do I love to generate res files for myself.
He's learning on the job. Everyone must start somewhere..
One of of the first thing should be learned is the majority of players going to download the content off the server. So a res file is a must if you going to have custom content. I learned that in my early mapper days.
Now to not sound just like a total dick.
The maps were alright. I say a good "new mappers's entry" though this is the author's third map. Generally the overall gameplay was okay. Was I glad to play some new walkthrough map, after all these pvp, survival gimmicks, and South-American garbage.
What I didn't really like, was the sort of uninspired horde parts, where you just got "stuck" and had do defeat spawning waves of monsters. The maze part where you go around in dark corners to kill about 80% of the monsters, or the button scavenger hunt with respawning monsters.
I probably should note, that my server is having a plugin where you can buy weapons, Cry of Fear ones it is (also having a custom skill.cfg). So I pretty much used those during my walkthrough. They actually sound/play better. So these factors affected the circumstances while I was on the map. Probably on vanilla setting I would have rage-quitted. But again retarded monster AI is not the mapper's fault.
So overall it's a nice enjoyable walkthrough map. Now keep improving that brush work, and try to use less prefabs and rather make your own fancy computers.
Just finished a play through with 2 people and managed not too die too much except in a few arenas.
Was a little heavy on the prefabs and ambushes when you are doubling back.
Overall good to have long walk though map for a change and was fun for the most part.
Thanks for your comment!
I gonna working in a second version fixing and balacing some things here and there in the next days/weeks.
Next time that I make a new map I will try not to abuse about so many arenas and prefabs, lesson learned :)
I think the map is really fine. People have grown too perfectionist over the years. back in the day this was the kind of map that people enjoyed. Simple walkthrough maps, nothing fancy, and its the best kind of maps.
Remember to fix the worm creature in the first map, its floating in the air!
I'd say I'm only really perfectionist against my own maps. That's why I barely release anything lel.
But the map still could use some more details, i still kind of feel the general blockiness. I would say the level of earthquake-test-center-ii or surface-ex-tension, and both these maps from those days. So just a little bit of more details. Also less prefabs.
Again the walkthrough theme was fine, except for those "fillers" where the author just put "horde" or silly "kill stuffs in a maze" to progress. I mean some horde element would work, if it was executed in some clever way, instead just killing waves of monsters stuck in a big room for the 100th time. But personally I could just live without this, there are enough horde already, and now the survival gimmick is catching up too. Just some old-fashioned walkthrough works fine. Probably could use some loopbacks, backtracing which doesn't feel forced.
So overall the author is on a good track to pull off some nice maps. These are good too, for a first maps. My first map sucked balls.
