Description

Sweet Home City is a medium size Sven Co-Op map that plays in a city. You start inside an advanced version of Sweet_home3 (HLDM) where you find weapons and armor. Then you have to fight your way through the streets where groups of soldiers and snipers await you. Once you reached the warehouse there are a lot of aliens to take care of. In the end there is an endboss fight ;-) Oh yeah and there are a lot of small details and gimmicks that you maybe wont see beating the map for the first time. Btw: this map was created on the basis of my counter-strike map as_intruder. main points of the map: - conversion of as_intruder (cs) - city-theme - 6+ players recommended - difficulty of the map is medium hints: - entering the bathtub will heal you - theres crossbow ammo on the cupboard next to the crossbow - destroy the powersource for the gates to open them - theres a gman watching you in this map (find him) - you will get extra items/weapons at the spawnpoint as you proceed - you can use the gargantua to kill the groups of soldiers - use the lightswitch :-)

GENERIC FIXES

Used the original maps as a base to ripent the .ent through import, bypassing the version mismatch errors in the maps ripented by newbspguy's current bug that the ripents of other people are having due to copy pasting brushes. Checked for errors and the maps work fine without version mismatch on servers.
Changed some env_messages to game_text
Changed env_model to item_generic
Changed monstermakers into squadmakers, with proper translated spawnflags
Fixed squadmakers without spawnflags or missing spawnflags, to have proper spawnflags
Changed info_player_start to info_player_deathmatch
Changed env_beam's negative StrikeTime value, to positive values (this could've caused crashes due to overflows)
Changed env_xenmakers that were spawning monsters, into squadmakers with proper external xenmaker entity
Replaced some of the Wayne's models that were identical to default (hwgrunt and hwgrunt_ld) with some other of the default custom hwgrunt models
Removed Wayne's missing soundlist files references in maps, and .gmr and .gsr as well
Gave many alien monsters spawned through squadmakers, a properly colored xenmaker effect
Replaced item_security and brush based item collectibles, with item_inventory
Used Wayne's ripents as a base. His guide arrows and wrong way signs have been replaced with more immersive things like lights, props, breakables with hud displaynames, enemies, etc… Except in maps that have a theme where it would be plausible to have direction signs.
Enemies with humongous amounts of health have been toned down a lot
Maps with low ammo at start have now extra weapons and ammo at spawn
game_text messages have been tweaked to be less intrusive, away from the crosshair, indicating the character name that speaks if intended, and sometimes giving them proper color that indicates ally or enemy.
Typos in game_texts and displaynames have been fixed. Usage of "\n" (new lines) in displaynames has been abolished
Fixed typos on entities making them not recognizable by the game
Fixed netnames when intended to be used as displaynames on old maps. Now you can see those npcs true names!
Regenerated .res files
Repacked with missing files into a .zip using resguy

Used Wayne's ripent as a base with trigger fixes, and guide arrows
Modified the guide arrows into more immersive props and effects to blend in with the environment
Added Bathtub water fix by SV BOY that was even fixed further by Wayne, so now the thing doesn't even have any chance of crashing at all
Reduced insane monster spam. Each squadmaker now spawns 1 monster instead of 15, except a few aliens that teleport in again just once.
Added xenmakers to squadmakers, so monsters dont pop up out of the blue
APC is now breakable, has a turret and stops spawning grunts when destroyed
X Race have their own classification
The breakable power boxes were not spawning explosions or gibs because they were inside a brush. This could not be fixed by moving them so the effects were added externally with env shooters, env explosion and spark
The trigger push for the garg was fixed. Now it properly pushes the garg out of the hole
One of the rotating doors had a lot of z fighting. Turned it into a breakable since there was no fix for it.
For some reason the alien slave squadmakers were crashing the game, so I had to add a custom precache for them
Moved the grunts that spawn from the wooden fence to be closer to it so it looks more like they are coming from there. Also added extra delay for them.
