Description
*Story
Incoming transmission.
Good morning commander hope you’re well rested.
I'll get straight to the point.
A hostile terrorist force have taken control
of part of the Black mesa facility.
They are demanding 10 Mil or they’ll launch a nuke.
We have no idea if they have the capacity to launch or not.
Your mission is to go in assess the situation
and remove this terrorist group with extreme force.
Weapons are O.S.P. as always.
More Intel to follow….
Additional info
The tb mesa series was first started back in 2005 as a single map. (tb_mesa)
Then it expanded into a series in 2006. (tb_mesa1 to tb_mesa6)
Then in 2007 the first part was rebuild from scratch to match with the rest of the series better. (tb_mesa1r)
For some strange reason it got popular (Don't ask me !)
So in 2008 i started re-building the entire series from scratch (tb_mesaGold to tb_mesa7Gold (1extra part))
and someday i might even finish it……..

There are over 1578 maps for Sven Co-op! Here are a few:
2 / 5
The platform in tb_mesagold won't move unless you blow up the tripmine outside. You can just barely see and shoot it through the window on the brown door.
Just tested this map series, along with the older version of it found here http://scmapdb.com/map:tb-mesa
So far, the maps in the gold version are waaay better than the old ones, in architecture, monster placement, actual monster teleporting instead of just popping up from nowhere, monster hp is more balanced as well.
A complete rework. Sadly the gold version lacks the ending the old one had (although it wasn't that much of an ending, you just went down into an elevator after defeating the terrorist leader. In the gold version the leader is not there, and neither is the elevator, its just a black tunel. its obvious the mapper was going to expand on the ending a lot to even create another map but that was never released)
Another little problem is that tb_mesa2gold and tb_Mesa2bgold are separate maps when they could be just one single map, since mesa2b is very….VERY short
I found no problems other than the broken platform in the first map which can be fixed completely with just a ripent!! I tested using a longjump and you actually can jump easily to the other side with it if you stand next to the door.
I believe this page should be merged with the old version's page and add a ripented longjump (or a few more too) to "tb_mesagold.bsp" at location "236 3047 -1663" to fix the platform problem :)
It is actually quite a fun walk through map even if it is a bit difficult solo.
Haven't tried the original so can't comment on it being better.
That platform did confuse me until I realised it is broken lol.
thanks amigos i'm waiting for this had been 5 year now outdated
Doubt i'll ever get round to doing the final part7 now.
but dowload added for the whole series (parts 1 to 6)
It's dead?
I looked high and low for this, finally finding the only available instance on the Svenserver of SnarkCafe, with whom the Bard seems to have a strong affiliation. Don't understand why he didn't release it here, but never mind.
It's better and worse than the original series (I'll make a review later), but the points include high HP monster horde spawns, weedy spawn weapons, new maps, many features lifted straight out of HL maps, much player 'trolling', a terminally broken moving-platform player transport (map 1), a few map-breaking bugs, *huge* music track downloads and large map sizes - overall fun plus frustration in about equal measures.
All in all, a Curate's egg if ever there was one!
