Description

Half-Life: Urbicide is a 11 map singleplayer modification for Half-Life set during the Xen invasion of Earth sometime during the events of Half-Life. You play as Bruce, a warehouse supervisor, who, during the alien invasion together with a colleague, gets stuck inside one of the warehouse buildings. Bruce's fiancé, Rebecca, is not far from his location and decides to go and get her. It may surprise some newer Half-Life fans to know the original was in fact published externally by Sierra Entertainment, in a time before Steam, and remains one of the most influential titles ever published by the company.

Additional info

An original Half-life mod had been converted to Sven-Coop, made possible with ripent and bspguy tools. Necessary adjustments were made into the mod to made the campaign playable and cooperative.

If you want to report a bug please give details of the problem you found to me so there will be a bigger chance to solve it, and much faster. Also check out and support the author if you enjoyed the map.

Note: Repack version might be recommended due to some map bugs has been fix and some files were reorganized correctly.

• Added some chainlink func walls on top of the gate in map 4 to stop players from rushing through the map in just a few seconds exploiting it and jumping over the fence

• Kept fixes from v1a by Reuniclus and merged them with the fixes from the repack
• Added the removed 556 ammo to 9mmAR ammo line to the script back again from the original version
• Fixed the missing credits text in Map 9 that the repack and patch versions were missing due to a bspguy bug
• Rolle dback the script fix for the python sprite to the original, and manually added the missing sprite to the res file. Because resguy would not recognize it and include it automatically.

Fixes from the repack were:

• Lowercased all files and their file paths in the .ents (required small ripent)
• Removed unused bloat from worldspawn entities (things like startdark, that don't work in sven)
• Merged external sequence and textures for models (rebecca.mdl only)
• Removed unused wads from the worldspawn entity using bspguy (small ripent)
• Used resguy to remove unused files (checked that the scripts had the files they needed) by generating the .res again
• Packed into a .zip that can be uploaded to scmapdb

This version should not give anyone any version mismatch errors and is just a Quality of Life. And is now less than 200mb, meaning it can be uploaded to scmapdb.

• Map 1: edited bad origin of model-184
• Map 3, 7, 9: fixed bad func_button lip 4 to 3
• Map 7b: fix door_rotating (door_ambush2) being triggered 2 times, now its only once
• Map 9: Added trigger_camera to fix a teleport & edited 'can.mdl' origins
• Edited scripts 'ItemMapping' to have sniper rifle ammo to crossbow ammo
• All cameras have hidden hud now
