Roblox tycoon with Rizz. Needs some conveyers to move around the tycoon though theres so much walking even with the cars. Definitely don't actually play this on survival mode its way too difficult.

I reccomend starting by buying the first 2 upgrades of the wheat farm that way one or two people can farm while someone else is transporting meat and get money to upgrade the meat upgraders.

Hey @Outerbeast. Thanks for maintaining this map pack.

I have searcher for info regarding this bug in sven coop discord channel. It doesn't seem to be on priority list.

Also on discord I have found that one person uploaded zip with workaround for this bug. It seems that only one problematic file is `heckpoint_spawner.as` which imports ``../point_checkpoint`.

Maybe it would be possible to incorporate this fix into official map release? It would save some people time and headache from this issue. I know Linux user base is small, it mainly is affecting people running sven coop servers.

Either way thanks for supporting map for almost 25 year old mod :)

About that crystal cart.. i also saw that many times. it can stuck esaily then force to trigger multiple for go up lift.

That must be goldsrc Engine problem to stuck entity in lift i think..

Firstly, awesome job bringing this to sven!

Had a run through last night and was mostly smooth sailing.
Apart from the fact that after putting the crystal in the lift during the first act, nothing was triggered.

Reset a couple of times to no avail, ended up running "ent_trigger_ahead" on the lift to force it, which then triggered the sequence allowing me to grab the crowbar and proceed.

After that I didn't notice any issues.

This is being hosted on a linux ds, with script files moved to svencoop/scripts instead of svencoop_addon/scripts.

PS - support for classic mode would really complete this :)

When i played that in dedicate server, map_script dust is working well…

Is that only for dedicate setting ? Or local server can do ?

Where to start? Firstly, when I exited the metro, I didn't initially understand what I needed to do (didn't read the MOTD, lol). The city design is fairly simple, easy to navigate. Then, I stumbled upon the Yakuza boss and initially didn't understand what I needed to do or where to go. I returned to the metro entrance and found money, then bought a knife, and for fun, started killing civilians, which caused the entire police force to start attacking me. As a result, I had to restart the map, read the MOTD after all, understood what I needed to do, and began to progress through the map properly. Overall, it's fairly easy to finish in 30-60 minutes.

Pros:
+Open World. Non-linear maps for Sven Co-op are quite rare nowadays. It's even more unique when you need to choose a specific faction, which is a rarity (unless it's the only map where you can do so).
+Design. Fairly responsive, very good for Goldsrc/Svengine. It's remind me of the city maps in Action Half-Life or The Specialists.
+The concept itself. Very straightforward, but implementation isn't bad.

Cons:
-Lags in some places, quite severely. It's especially frustrating when you're shooting at someone at that time.
-Bug with the money, having "too much" of it is quite inconvenient.
-Easy to get lost with the tasks. As someone below suggested, it would be nice if the bosses reminded you what needs to be done. Or just place markers on the required tasks (drawing a couple of specific faction marker sprites and placing them at specific points is quite easy).

Conclusion: The map is very good in terms of design and concept, but the implementation is a bit flawed. Not bad, but sometimes… meh. I really hope the map creator doesn't forget about it and fixes all these issues. Perhaps he could even create something new with a similar concept (open world and the choice of which faction to work for). I went through it alone (not counting the bots, which in this case were my firearms buddies).
7/10. Just keep going!

fianlly i fixed most problems in my Life's End port.

I have copied the text from the instructions and pasted it into default_plugins.txt , however when I load into a AoMDC map my console says this:

ERROR: Could not find AoMDCFlashlight plugin. Batteries not spawned.
Make sure you add the plugin to default_plugins.txt!

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

When i play with friends, we had fun a lot in this lab base map. In last part.. we thought gonna fight with Gonarch as last boss but that was not.

When i press Controll room button, one time happen softlock after someone pass the room.
Time stamp is 04:05

Part 03:20 in controll access room, sometimes not open door when press button.

The map simply boils down to you going into a portal and ending up in a battle where you have to finish off all the enemies to get teleported back and have the next portal to the next battle opened.
Each battlefield is themed differently but they play mostly the same.

The map quickly gets repetitive and boring so unless you just want to fight a little in some Sven battles, I would not recommend it.

True to the film but as frustrating to play as you'd think.

Just like the movie you need to go from cube to cube and there is no indication of which rooms are lethal and which are not, or any way to find out besides trial and error.

With every room being identical and their colors repeating a lot, trying to memorize which path was safe so far was not possible. The only indications were the blood decals left from our deaths which would get deleted after a while so they didn't work in the long run (same with Sprays as they are also decals).

As brutal as it is, it's fun for 20-30 minutes maybe, but it overstays its welcome by being a lot longer, to the point where we decided to just noclip our way out which was surprisingly still confusing, as again all the rooms looked the same.

Would I recommend this? Well, if you're looking to kill 20 minutes with friends, yeah it can be fun, but any longer than that and you're better off playing something else.

I played the original mod and later this port.

While the mod is lackluster, this port is even worse. While everything works the same as the mod, nothing has been changed to improve it for co-op player.

For example, one map has you start, listen to a 2 minute dialogue before the locked door opens and you can continue. On Survival Mode when you die, the map restarts and you have to listen to that 2 minute dialogue all over again. Die a few more times and now you are so frustrated that there is no reason to play anymore as the mod itself is pretty mediocre and not worth it.

I was quite intrigued by this map's page. Cry of Fear enemies in Sven Co-op is enough to entice me. However gameplay-wise the map played horribly.

During playthrough it will become obvious very soon that this was one of the first maps the author ever made. Environments lack detail, gameplay feels weak and the overall experience is less than mediocre.

A big negative is that the game tries to recreate the first section of HL's campaign (from tram exit to resonance cascade) from scratch and it's just a weak, watered down version that you just want to get through as quickly as possible.

The rest is no saver.

Overall while I appreciate the effort of porting the models and trying to give it an actual intro instead of just throwing you into the fray, I would not recommend it as the final result is not really good.

An excellent port that lets you experience the mod with friends.

However I would not recommend using Director's Cut Flashlight and Bleed mechanic as they severely hinder the game.
With the Flashlight mode you never have even the slightest amount of charge so for 90% of the game you're walking in total darkness with your flashlight off to save it for important sections.

As for the bleed mechanic, it makes it artificially too hard to play.

Just player the Director's Cut without the plugins and you will have an awesome experience.
