Map review of Chancars

I'm just going to say it, goldsrc has some terrible vehicles and func_vehicle is finicky at best.
The map idea is pretty standard stuff, a map with ramps and other fun terrain features and a bunch of wacky cars. Some of the cars are quite wacky like the surfboard with a wave behind it, the jousting chairs, the jetbikes with 3d models attached to the vehicle so they actually look like jetbikes. I did really enjoy taking most of them out for a spin.
The main problem is that half the time I am driving I die. Whether it's because I get crushed when my car drives through a solid wall, falling out a the apex of a jump, or some other shenanigans, driving in goldsrc just isn't safe for humans. Plus, there is an unkillable gonome wandering around, so if you are unfortunate enough to get caught you are pretty much dead.
There is a large ring in the middle of the map that two treacherous ramps lead to. I don't think ramps and vehicles need to be more treacherous, the addition of breaking up the ramps to add in pitfalls with the already finicky vehicles saw me using only one ramp and driving pretty slow to maneuver there. After hitting the ring 20 times the gun shop opens up, but you still can't damage the gonome.
There is one really tall car with multiple stories. Park that near the lake under the ring and then use the ramps to plant a bus on top. If done right you can stand in the ring and continuously activate it getting to 20 very fast. After unlocking the guns I felt I had explored enough of the map.
Pros:
- There are some really neat cars
Cons:
- the terrain and ramps are made to trip up already finicky vehicles
- gonome was uncessary
- reward for accomplishing the one goal on the map is weapons, which are useless against he one enemy in the map.
