Sodagod's Brutally Honest Review

This is definitely one of the better maps I have played. However, it's not perfect, no map is. The size of the map is reasonable, giving players a safe distance between enemies and each other. The difficulty will definitely crank up if you have less than 3-4 other players with you, but considering the popularity of themap, that shouldn't be a problem. The ability to shoot a giant laser from space is great, but the sound effects do not match this, but that doesn't really matter. One of my biggest gripes is one of the "bosses". More specifically, the osprey. The son of a biscuit (Am I allowed to say the 'other' word?) is tough to take down, and many peple may not know the location of the rpg crucial to take it down. Still, this is minor, and takes from the fun of the map very little. Overall, this is a great map.

Pros:

  • Useful friendly NPCs
  • Challenging enemies
  • Fun boss fights, especially Tor
  • Great assortment of weapons, placed so the best are not gained right away
  • Very detailed enviornment

Cons:

  • Not very clear why we are fighting in the first place (very very minor)
  • The osprey can be a (that word) to fight if you give it a chance
Score: 9.5 / 10
