This map is sudoku. Players spawn in elevator looking things to a big room with a big sudoku board in the middle of the room with holes for the answers. Up top there is a glass platform players can walk on to get a bird's eye view of the board. At the far end of the room is a panel that players use to summon cubes with numbers on them to complete the puzzle. Place the cubes in the correct holes and win! There is also some fun music to boost your morale.

All in all, the map isn't hard. I can imagine with quite a few people that the puzzle would just fly by. When cubes fall into the holes they turn transparent and shiny. This does not mean the answer is correct, we filled up a bunch of holes with nine and they all acted the same. Any incorrect answers can just be lifted out of the hole.

The machine that summons the cubes has a set of doors to a chamber that has spinning rings and flashy sprites. Getting caught in here when a cube is summoned will kill you and shatter any cube inside. The sequence for summoning a cube is sort of long and it can get annoying when trying to summon cubes at the same pace you solve the puzzle. We restarted the map, there is only one puzzle and it does not change. It would have been massively impressive if the map could generate a new sudoku puzzle each time.

Once the map ends a message shows up keeping track of how long it took to solve and the server record. It said the record was 0 seconds so I don't know how it keeps track of the server record. At the end of the day, I played some serviceable sudoku. I don't think I'll get much out of it by playing again but it was a fun novelty.

Pros:

  • Working sudoku!
  • I like the cube summoning machine, I think it was done well if a little long
  • fun background music
  • the glass platform was a very nice addition

Cons:

  • the cube summoning machine takes a while
  • the puzzle does not change, meaning that the replayability for this map is low
Score: 8 / 10
